In honor of Amaro Mixology Monday we present a brand new drink. Sorry, but we're truly comical amaro nerds, so this one calls for a really obscure but very delightful one: Zucca Rabarbaro. You can get it from the Whisky Exchange in London and we're not sure where else. You can achieve a somewhat similar, though less viscous effect with 1 drop Fee's Rhubarb Bitters and 1 drop Liquid Smoke added to 1 ounce of Luxardo Abano.
The drink itself, as if by reward for your efforts, is simple.
1 oz Zucca Rabarbaro (smoky, rhubarb amaro)
1 oz Blanton's bourbon
1 scant barspoon Meyer lemon juice
Stirred, served up in a chilled glass, garnished with a stripe of Meyer lemon peel squeezed over the glass & dropped in.
The name? Wikipedia can explain walla.
